Vantage is an open-world cooperative adventure game set on an uncharted planet, where players explore an expansive environment scattered across nearly eight hundred interconnected locations represented by 400 cards, along with over 900 additional discoverable cards. Each game begins with players aboard an intergalactic vessel en route to the planet, but after a crash separates them, they must navigate the world from a first-person perspective. While players can communicate and assist each other despite vast distances, each only knows their own current location. Victory in Vantage can be achieved through completing a mission, fulfilling a destiny, or accomplishing an epic victory by combining both. Beyond these goals, players define their own success by the paths they choose and the challenges they overcome. Vantage is a standalone experience without campaigns or expansions. Knowledge gained about the world carries forward between sessions, but each game is played independently. The game includes a few accessories like metal coins to enhance play.
