Captain Sonar New Version (engl.)

Beschreibung

At the bottom of the ocean, no one will hear you scream.

In Captain Sonar, you and your team take control of an advanced submarine, working together to locate and destroy the enemy sub before they do the same to you. Every role on the crew counts, and success depends on clear communication and coordination. The team consists of the Captain, Chief Mate, Radio Operator, and Engineer.

All team members sit on the same side of the table, each assuming a specific role. The Captain navigates the submarine and announces key movement details. The Radio Operator listens to the opposing captain's commands in an attempt to pinpoint their submarine’s position. The Engineer manages the munitions room, preparing torpedoes, mines, and other combat devices.

Captain Sonar offers two modes of play: turn-based or simultaneous. In simultaneous mode, all players act at the same time while tracking their opponents’ moves. When a player decides to launch an attack, the game pauses briefly to determine if the hit is successful before continuing—often with a sudden escape or the battlefield scattered with debris.

Several maps come included, each offering different levels of challenge and strategic depth.
