Spectacular (engl.)

Beschreibung

In Spectacular, you build and develop your own animal park for vulnerable species, aiming to preserve them through successful breeding in their habitats. On your turn, you choose animal tiles and dice, with the dice representing food that must match the habitat color of your animal tiles. Each decision is crucial: you must decide whether to draft a die of a particular value or secure an animal tile that might not be available later. At the end of the game, you score points for each connected area of the same habitat based on the sum of your dice of that color. However, to earn points, dice showing values 1 or 2 must be placed on specific “family” tiles within that habitat. Additionally, building watchtowers during the game rewards you with points for all three adjacent dice. To make your park even more spectacular, you aim to collect as many different species as possible, earning increasing points for greater variety. The player with the highest total score wins. For added challenge, after a few plays you can use three mission tiles chosen from eighteen. These increase the potential score but also raise the complexity of the puzzle. Spectacular features simultaneous play and player interaction, as opponents’ choices affect your available tiles and dice. The game also includes asymmetric player boards with two sides each. With straightforward rules, quick setup, engaging puzzles, and minimal downtime even with more players, Spectacular offers a rewarding experience for 1 to 6 players.
