Pocket Imperium: Mech Worlds is a promotional expansion tile for Pocket Imperium that introduces new strategic options by altering the way Expand and Explore actions function. At the start of the game setup, just before placing the six standard sector tiles around Tri-Prime, randomly remove one of these tiles and replace it with the Mech World sector tile. Then continue with the regular game setup. There are two types of Mech Worlds: Yellow Mech Worlds These systems are dominated by self-replicating machines that aid their controllers in rapidly building fleets. When performing an Expand action and adding one or more ships to a hex containing a yellow Mech World, you may add one additional ship if available. Yellow Mech Worlds have a system value of 0, meaning no points are scored for controlling them during the Exploit phase, and only one ship may remain there at the end of a round. Blue Mech Worlds Inhabited by life forms adapted to their low-density atmospheres, these systems and their launch facilities enable fleets departing from them to move faster. When initiating an Explore action from a blue Mech World, the fleet may move one extra hex during that turn. The base game is required to play this expansion.
