Beschreibung

This edition includes the complete ALL-IN pledge from the Age of Rome Kickstarter campaign. Set in 44 BC Rome, Age of Rome is a strategic worker placement game where players compete to become the new emperor. Each player takes on the role of a hero with a unique player board, receiving secret quests and starting resources such as Denarii, Followers, Scheme tokens, Legions, and Votes. Over nine rounds, players build structures across various provinces on a rotating board, balancing war, politics, trade, and religion while outmaneuvering their rivals. Each round consists of four phases:

• Scheme phase: An Event card is revealed, turn order is established, and players activate Schemes in sequence.
• Building phase: Players construct buildings in turn order.
• Action phase: Players place Followers to take various actions.
• Income phase: Players collect Income, and the Provinces board is adjusted accordingly.

Glory Points are earned through multiple paths: constructing buildings, commanding Legions to conquer regions, casting Votes to gain majorities, trading and collecting items, or building a Pantheon. Additionally, completed secret quests add to the players’ Glory. After the ninth round, the player with the highest Glory score is crowned Emperor of Rome.
