Andromedas Edge (engl.)

Beschreibung

Andromeda’s Edge takes you to a remote, uncharted region on the outskirts of the Andromeda Galaxy. This area is scattered with the modular remnants of a precursor civilization, constantly threatened by hostile extragalactic raiders and surrounded by dense nebulae. It stands as a last refuge for those daring factions seeking a new beginning beyond the control of the authoritarian Lords of Unity. In the game, you command a desperate faction starting with a lone space station, a few starships, and limited resources. You will explore Andromeda’s Edge by deploying your ships to collect resources, claim moons, acquire station modules, settle planets, and construct developments. Compete against rivals to advance along five progress tracks: Science, Industry, Commerce, Civilization, and Supremacy. Each turn, you either launch a starship into one of Andromeda’s regions or recall your ships back to your station. Launching sends a ship to gather resources from planetary systems or perform actions at Alliance Bases. Should you encounter opponents or dangerous raiders, battles are resolved through dice rolls where strategic choices can turn setbacks into advantages. Returning your ships lets you activate your station’s engine, employing the modules you’ve built to generate energy, gain resources, and execute special actions. As your faction grows, you will establish various developments—such as Observatories, Factories, Spaceports, Cities, and Obelisks—and upgrade your station with valuable modules. Progress on the tracks brings rewards during the game’s milestones and ultimately determines the victor. Through careful management and bold exploration, you will shape the future of your civilization at the edge of Andromeda.
