3 Ring Circus (engl.)

Beschreibung

The circus has arrived in town! Under the big top, jugglers, clowns, magicians, strongmen, and wild beasts captivate a dedicated audience eager to applaud every act. After each performance, your troupe gains fame and might one day catch the attention of P.T. Barnum, the greatest circus promoter of all time. In 3 Ring Circus, you take on the role of a circus director touring the United States at the end of the 19th century. Your goal is to hire talented artists and stage performances across various towns and cities to build your reputation. Towns offer simple setups and provide starting resources to improve your troupe; small cities present greater challenges but give access to better artists; big cities demand highly specialized acts, but the fame gained from performing there is much greater. On your turn, you can either hire an artist or hold a performance. Since each circus starts empty, recruiting is essential to forming your company. The benefits of each artist card depend on the order in which they perform, making show planning one of the keys to success. Performances require moving to an available location on the map. In towns, you receive basic currency cards as a reward. Performing in small cities lets you claim entry cards or fame points depending on the number of pedestals in your company. Big cities offer significant fame points but require specific types of artists to satisfy the audience. While your small circus strives to thrive, the grand Barnum Circus tours the country. When it visits a big city, a scoring round takes place in that region, rewarding circuses that have held the most performances there with even more fame.
