Ein tolles Stichspiel im Herr der Ringe-Universum, welches gerade in den letzten Kapiteln eine echte Herausforderung bietet.
Eingeleitet von Zitaten aus der Romanvorlage, führt das Spiel stimmungsvoll in jedes Kapitel ein. Die wichtigsten Ereignisse des Buches werden dabei thematisiert, so kommen mit fortschreitenden Kapitel neue Karten, wie etwa Bedrohungen, Gegenstände und natürlich Charaktere hinzu.
Erwartet werden darf an dieser Stelle jedoch keine Nacherzählung des Literatur-Klassikers, wer die Geschichte der Bücher kennt, freut sich jedoch umso mehr über das Wiedersehen mit Charakteren, welche die Filme verschwiegen haben. Welche das sind, sei an dieser Stelle – zum Wohl der Überraschung – unerwähnt :)
Die Karten sind wunderschön, im Stile von Bleiglasfenstern, gestaltet und laden zur Betrachtung ein, auch wenn das Spiel schon längst beendet ist.
Die steigende Bedrohung durch Saurons Diener, spiegelt der konvergent steigende Schwierigkeitsgrad während der Kapitel, von denen es insgesamt 18 gibt, wunderbar thematisch wieder.
Insgesamt habe ich das Spiel wirklich sehr genossen und kann es nur jedem, der Stichspielen etwas abgewinnen kann, ans Herz legen.
