Description
Kepler 3042 (2nd Edition) (engl.) is a strategy game for 1 to 4 players aged 14+ with a playing time of 90-120 minutes. Players explore and colonize planets in a peaceful competition, managing limited resources and developing technologies. The game features tactical planning, powerful combos, and a solo mode with 20 levels, all set in a scientifically inspired future.
Kepler 3042 invites players to embark on a journey of exploration and colonization set in the year 3042. Humanity has identified the most promising celestial bodies for colonization, and the nations of Earth now have the technology to reach them. In this peaceful competition, players send their starships across the galaxy to expand their influence.
This resource management Eurogame challenges players to carefully balance the exploitation and terraforming of planets in the Milky Way while advancing critical technologies. Each round, you select which action to take and which bonuses to activate, aiming to maximize your efficiency and outmaneuver your rivals. With only 16 turns, every decision must be precise to create powerful combos and gain the most victory points.
Resources are limited and must be managed thoughtfully: your supply includes Matter, Energy, and Antimatter, each of which plays a vital role. Some resources must be spent permanently to unlock bonus actions, making every cube crucial to your success.
Kepler 3042 also features a solo mode with 20 levels, offering a robust challenge for solo players. The game emphasizes strategic planning without direct conflict—actions influence all players, but there is no aggressive interaction, fostering a competitive yet peaceful atmosphere.
Additionally, the rulebook contains a scientific section that explains the astronomical and technological background, grounding the game’s setting in a plausible future of cooperation and discovery.
