You return home to reopen your family’s cozy pastry shop, where sweet dreams require dedication and hard work. Manage demanding customers, aging equipment, and tight finances while exploring a dusty old recipe book filled with unique pastries waiting to be perfected. Each new recipe presents its own challenges—roll up your sleeves and get ready for a rewarding journey. Pasteles is a solo game featuring 12 distinctive recipes, each a puzzle to solve over 4 to 7 rounds, with every round representing a full day at your shop. Each round unfolds in three phases:

• Preparation: Organize your bakery for the day. Employees arrive or leave based on the schedule, ingredients are prepared, and equipment is inspected for possible breakdowns. You can also invest in marketing to attract more customers if your budget allows.
• Open: Welcome customers according to your current Market Level. This phase is the core of the game—bake the featured recipe and efficiently serve customers while following the specific rules of each recipe.
• Closing: At the end of the day, assess customer satisfaction and adjust your Market Level accordingly. Pay your staff, make optional repairs to maintain equipment, and prepare for the next day.

Repeat these phases each day until the final round, when you'll determine if your pastry shop has truly become a success.
