Railroad Tiles Desert (Exp.) (engl.)

Description

Railroad Tiles Desert (engl.): Expand your network by adding desert tiles featuring Attractions like Oasis, Pyramid, Sphinx, and Obelisk. Connect these via Desert Stations and use Camels to score points. Includes new rules for tile placement, Desert Trails, and specific Objectives enhancing gameplay.

In Railroad Tiles Desert, you expand your network by creating a surrounding desert landscape next to your regular tiles. Place Desert Attractions such as Oasis, Pyramid, Sphinx, and Obelisk, and connect them to your existing routes through Desert Stations. Use Camels to bring visitors to these attractions and score additional points. When placing tiles, follow a key rule: the first Desert tile may be placed anywhere, but every subsequent tile—whether regular or Desert—must share at least one side with a tile of the same type. Desert tiles include Car and Traveler pin points but replace Train pin points with Camel pin points. By using a Train Placement token, you can place a Camel on a Camel pin point instead of a Train pawn. Desert tiles feature special Desert Trails that connect both Highways and Railways. When you link these routes, place a Desert Station token at the connection point. Desert Stations play a crucial role in scoring for both Attractions and Camels. Each Camel scores 1 point for every Desert Station it connects to. At the end of the game, you earn points for sets of different Desert Attractions connected to at least one Desert Station: 1 point for a single Attraction, 3 points for two different Attractions, 6 for three, and 10 for a complete set of four. Attractions in a set don’t need to be connected to the same Desert Station or to each other, but an individual Attraction cannot count toward multiple sets. Additionally, the expansion introduces specific Objectives. For example, the Desert Market must be part of a route with at least five connected Desert Trail segments, while the Great Oasis must be surrounded by at least four Desert tiles and counts as an Oasis Attraction.
