(engl.) expands the base game with two new core factions, the Riverfolk Company and the Lizard Cult, an extra vagabond, cooperative scenarios, bot play rules, and three additional vagabond variants. It allows Root to be played with 1 to 6 players aged 10 and up, with a playing time of 60-90 minutes.
A new faction is added to the forest fray. The Riverfolk expansion includes:

Die Riverfolk Erweiterung beinhaltet drei neue Elemente: 2 neue Faktionen, einen neuen Vagabond und eine Variante, um das Spiel als Coop oder alleine spielen zu können.
Die zwei neue Faktionen unterscheiden sich ganz gut von den anderen. Die Eidechsen sind ziemlich komplex, die Bieber relativ einfach und machen das Spiel ganz witzig und interaktiver, weil sie die ganze Zeit "Services" an anderen Faktionen verkaufen.
Für den Vagabond gibt es neue Karten, die - wie alles andere super illustriert sind - aber ich bin noch nicht dazu gekommen, diese auszuprobieren.
Die Coop Variante ist das einzige was nicht so gut funktioniert. Es ist nicht so einfach zu verstehen und dazu auch ein bisschen langweilig.
Aber die anderen Faktionen, vor allen die Bieber, machen diese Erweiterung schon wert.
