Welcome to Scotland, a land renowned for its whisky, rugged Highlands, majestic castles, and, of course... its ghosts. The Phantom Society is a thrilling ghost-hunting game where you either take on the role of mischievous spirits determined to wreak havoc on a manor hotel or become daring ectoplasm hunters, a bit reckless yet relentless in their chase. The ghosts aim to cause at least £45,000 worth of damage—honoring the Special 45 - Old Faydhutee Single Malt—whether through their own actions or those of the hunters. Meanwhile, the hunters strive to prevent the ghosts from reaching this destructive goal. The game features a dual-level board representing a manor floor with 36 rooms, each depicted by a tile valued between £1,000 and £6,000. Each of the four ghosts corresponds to a specific room type and hides beneath a tile of that type, starting their campaign of destruction by removing adjacent tiles. Ghost hunters must deduce the ghosts’ hiding places by observing the damaged tiles, but searching for them causes further destruction, adding to the manor’s total damage. Success demands careful and logical choices from the hunters when selecting tiles to remove, while the ghosts rely on cunning and psychological tactics to confuse their pursuers and stay hidden. Will the manor survive this eerie battle intact?
