Description

1880: China is an expert game for 3 to 7 players aged 12+. Players act as railway magnates in 1880s China, investing in historical railway companies, building networks, and operating trains. Strategic share trading and company success determine the winner by highest combined cash and share value.

In 1880: China, players take on the roles of railway magnates in Asia, navigating the historic development of China’s railway system. Inspired by Francis Tresham’s 1829, the game incorporates historical events into its mechanics to create an authentic 18XX experience.

As a classic 18XX game, players compete to accumulate the greatest wealth by buying and selling shares of China’s historical railway companies, constructing and expanding their railway networks, and operating trains along the routes. The value of shares rises with the success of the companies, making strategic investment key to winning.

The player whose combined cash and share value is highest at the end is declared the winner.
