Age of Galaxy is a strategic 4X game that puts you in command of an interstellar alliance made up of three factions, each with unique abilities. Explore star systems, colonize planets, research advanced technologies, and construct powerful galactic cruisers. Your path to victory depends on how you combine your factions' strengths and the central ideology guiding your alliance. There are five distinct ideologies to choose from:

• Science focuses on continuous research and innovation, believing that knowledge is the key to progress.
• Militarism relies on strength and conquest, viewing war as a necessary means to achieve dominance.
• Diplomacy emphasizes maintaining relations between factions, navigating political intrigue to take control of the Congress.
• Industrialism drives large-scale construction projects, transforming planets into advanced urban and industrial centers.
• Culturalism values spiritual and cultural development, seeking insight from enigmatic relics scattered across the galaxy.

Players can use faction cards in flexible ways: integrating them into their growing empire or sacrificing them to gain one-time advantages through diplomatic agreements. The game includes over thirty factions, offering a wide range of strategies and combinations. This second edition by Portal Games features an enhanced solo mode, refined graphic design, and improved components, delivering a deeper and more engaging gameplay experience.
