All Aboard! (engl.)

Beschreibung

All Aboard! (engl.) is a childrens game for 2 to 5 players aged 7+ with a playing time of 20 minutes. Players must safely board animals onto boats without exceeding capacity, using strategic card placement and animal powers. The game features 12 different animals and involves managing risks as boats may sink if overloaded or if animals fight.

In All Aboard!, players must safely get their group of animals onto different boats without exceeding each boat’s weight limit—otherwise, it will sink. Designed by Paco Yánez and illustrated by Monsuros, this engaging card game is played over 4 rounds, each consisting of two phases: boarding and setting sail.

At the start, each player receives 12 cards featuring different animals, including the mouse, peacock, fox, octopus, monkey, sloth, elk, zebra, giraffe, lion, bear, and elephant. During the boarding phase, players place animals onto the boats in a sequence of three turns: the first and third animals are placed face up, while the second is placed face down. Each boat can hold up to three animals.

When setting sail, the hidden animal cards are revealed. Players then check for duplicate animals—two of the same species fall in love, earning points, while three of a kind cause a fight and sink the boat. After activating the animals’ special effects, the total weight of the animals on the boat is compared to its capacity. Boats that hold their weight set sail successfully, and the animals on board score points. If a boat sinks, those animals are discarded.

Choosing the right moment to play each animal and anticipating opponents’ moves are key strategies. Each animal’s unique power can tip the balance, creating unexpected twists. Will you manage to save the most animals before time runs out?
