Altay Seafarers (Exp.) (engl.)

Description

Altay Seafarers (Exp.) (engl.) Altay Seafarers expands the base game with a new game board, the Forgotten Sea, introducing maritime routes, shipbuilding, sailing, and naval combat. It adds new action cards, technologies, and a unique playable faction, the Waterfolk, who can travel the seas without ships, offering fresh strategies and challenges for 2 to 4 players aged 13+ with a playing time of 45 minutes.

Altay - Seafarers is the first expansion for Altay - Dawn of Civilization, introducing new maritime adventures and the enigmatic Waterfolk. These ancient people, capable of commanding the waves through song, open up a new dimension of gameplay focused on the seas. This expansion adds three main features. A brand-new game board, the Forgotten Sea, where players can build harbors and extend their civilizations via sea routes. New mechanics for shipbuilding, sailing, and naval combat bring fresh strategic opportunities, supported by action cards and technologies like Shipwrights, Explorers, and Astronomy. Ships enable crossing sea zones, settling distant lands, and engaging in tactical battles on the water. Additionally, Altay - Seafarers introduces a unique playable faction: the Waterfolk. Their connection to wavebending and song allows them to navigate the seas without ships. Their special cards offer a distinct playstyle, combining flexibility, resource control, and manipulation of discarded actions. Whether dominating the seas with ships or wielding the ocean’s power with the Waterfolk, this expansion enriches Altay - Dawn of Civilization with new strategies, challenges, and the spirit of exploration.
