Behind the Lens (engl.) is a strategy game for 2 to 4 players aged 14+ with a playing time of 45-90 minutes. Players become nature photographers, using a sliding tile mechanism to adjust camera settings and capture photos. The game features multi-use cards, personal and shared goals, and a tactile puzzle experience that rewards strategic planning and portfolio building.

Behind the Lens puts you in the role of a nature photographer capturing the beauty of our planet. Players simultaneously adjust their camera settings through a sliding tile mechanism to take impressive photos of flora, fauna, and breathtaking landscapes. Each photo adds to your portfolio and hones your skills. By adding tiles to your journal, you increase the victory points earned from future photos taken with the same settings. Additional points can be gained by completing Assignments—public objectives that challenge you to meet specific photographic conditions. This tactile and puzzle-focused game includes multi-use cards that let you charge your camera, acquire new tiles, and perform bonus actions. Your camera is represented by a grid of sliding tiles, which you manipulate using battery charges to align settings and capture the perfect shot. Both personal and shared goals provide strategic depth, as you compete to complete Assignments earlier for more victory points. At the end of the game, private Awards reward you with extra points based on how well you have fulfilled their criteria. Behind the Lens offers an engaging experience full of strategy and puzzle-solving for 2 to 4 players.
