Builders of Sylvan Dale (engl.)

Description

Builders of Sylvan Dale (engl.) is a family game for 2 to 4 players aged 10+ with a playing time of 60 minutes. Players build dwellings, bridges, and courtyards high in the trees of Sylvan Dale using a unique three-dimensional tile placement system. Compete over two rounds to gain prestige and fame points, aiming to become the greatest architect in this charming woodland realm.

After the Great Disasters, a new era begins in Sylvan Dale. The Elders have called upon you and your fellow architects to create a woodland realm perched high in the Great Trees. Guide the builders as they construct dwellings, bridges, and hanging courtyards in a unique three-dimensional tile placement game. Designed by Peter Ridgeway, Builders of Sylvan Dale lets you play cards to place dwellings atop the ever-growing trees. Collect card sets to unlock special actions, such as building bridges or magically growing treetops. The goal is to have your dwellings stand above those of your rivals, securing your place as Sylvan Dale’s greatest architect. The game unfolds over two rounds. Each player places half of their tiles per round, aiming to earn prestige and collect fame points. At the end of each round, players’ influence on each tree and district is assessed, and fame points are awarded accordingly. The player with the highest total fame points at the end wins. Builders of Sylvan Dale offers an engaging blend of strategy and spatial reasoning suitable for both casual players and seasoned gamers.
