Catacombs Alpha Starter Set (engl.)

Description

Catacombs Alpha Starter Set (engl.) is a strategy game for 2 to 5 players aged 14+ with a playing time of 45-90 minutes. Players flick wooden discs representing heroes and monsters across a neoprene playmat, using special attacks and trick shots to explore dungeons, defeat monsters, and upgrade their heroes. The game features streamlined rules and is compatible with all Catacombs 3E expansions.

Catacombs Alpha offers a distinctive dungeon crawl experience where players flick wooden discs representing heroes and monsters across a neoprene playmat. By skillfully ricocheting shots off obstacles, players can perform trick shots, while ranged attacks like fireballs use their own discs for striking from a distance. Up to five players cooperate by controlling a party of heroes, each with unique special abilities, to explore the Catacombs, defeat monsters, and ultimately face the Catacomb Lord. Players collect gold coins from defeated foes to upgrade their heroes by purchasing items and services, and they can also recruit familiars to aid them. Designed for quick setup and fast-paced gameplay, Catacombs Alpha features streamlined rules and introduces new heroes, monsters, items, and Catacomb Lords. It is fully compatible with all existing Catacombs Third Edition expansions.
