Chomp (engl.)

Description

The era of dinosaurs has arrived! In Chomp, your objective is to create herds of dinosaurs and ensure they are all well-fed. Both herbivores and carnivores require food, but if the carnivores go hungry, they won’t hesitate to chomp on a nearby herbivore to satisfy their appetite. The gameplay centers around two rows of goal tiles and dino tiles. Each turn, players select one tile to add to their personal setup. Goal tiles are set aside for scoring at the end, while dino tiles are arranged in front of each player. Dino tiles come in three sizes for both herbivores and carnivores. Every new tile must overlap previous ones by a quarter, half, or whole tile, completely covering any dinosaurs beneath. Herds are formed by adjacent dinos of the same species, and they will feed together if connected to a single food source. However, herds will perish if left unfed, if adjacent to a tar pit, or next to an unfed carnivore. At the end of the game, each living and fed dinosaur scores 1 to 3 points according to its size. The player with the highest total score wins.
