Description

Disney Villains Card Game (engl.) is a childrens game for 3 to 6 players aged 8+ with a playing time of 15-25 minutes. Players use villain decks to play cards matching number or color, but must sometimes give cards to neighbors. Special villain cards add strategic twists. The goal is to score the most points after discarding cards based on hero counts.

In Disney Villains: The Card Game, players each have their own villain deck, consisting of three sets of cards numbered 1-6 in various colors. After shuffling, place one card face up and draw four cards to start your hand. On your turn, you must play a card from your hand that matches the number or color of the top card on your own pile. However, if that card matches the top card of either neighbor’s discard pile, it must be played there instead.

You may choose a card that only matches your own pile’s top card. If you can’t or don’t want to make a valid play, you can place a card face down on your pile, showing the hero side of the card back. On your next turn, you may play any card on your pile—unless it matches a neighbor’s top card, in which case you must give it away. (You cannot play cards on a neighbor’s hero card.) After playing, always refill your hand to four cards.

When all cards have been played, players count the number of hero cards in their pile. For each hero, remove all cards matching that number before scoring. For example, if you have four heroes, discard all 4s; if you have nine heroes, discard all 6s, then 3s. Cards score points equal to their face value, and the player with the highest score wins.

The game also includes two special cards that can be shuffled into each deck before play (reshuffle if a special card is flipped initially). When played, discard these cards to the center instead of adding them to your pile. Their effects are:

• Maleficent – Curse: All players with the highest pile number discard those cards to the center.
• Cruella de Vil – Exchange: Swap your top card (hero or number) with another player’s top card.
• Ursula – Whirlpool: Decide whether all players pass their top card to the left or right.
• Captain Hook – Interfere: All players flip their top card from number to hero or vice versa.
• Jafar – Hypnosis: Take the top card from another player’s pile into your hand.
• Scar – Intrigue: Each player draws a random card from every other player’s hand and must play it on their next turn.
