Dodoresque is a quick and funny card game. Each player takes the role of a Dodo-character. Goal of the game is to build the prettiest nest of all Dodos - to do so the Dodos have to go on adventures in order to collect building materials for their nests.
The game has two different types of cards. Material cards have a landscape background and are worth points when they are built into the nest. Action cards have a white background and may be viewed as means of payment for material cards. They stay on the player's hand until they have to be played when drawing a material card.
In a turn each player has 3 options on what to do, only 2 of them can be performed in each turn.

Adventure: A card is drawn from one of the three card decks
Exchange: A card is exchanged from the hand and the exchange deck
Build: The player places a material card from their hand on the table in front of them to get points.

The Box contains 96 playing cards, 320gsm with over 60 individual artworks.

Dodoresque comes in 2 differen versions - Jungle Fever and Cherry Blossom. Both versions are fully functioning games on their own, following the same rules and including 4 player characters, 4 unique landscapes as well as 10 special action cards. Both games can be combined to play with up to 8 players and are likely to be bought together (MSRP €34).
