Duel of Meloch is a standalone game that merges elements from Scythe and Expeditions into a strategic 45-minute duel. One player adopts the Scythe rules and components, including a new faction and player mat, while the other uses the Expedition rules, featuring a new mech, character, and companion. Familiarity with either game allows players to engage in Duel of Meloch without needing any other materials. The duel unfolds on a compact, double-sided map with just 10 locations and 2 lakes. Players race to earn 4 stars on a dual-sided Triumph Track, making each turn highly impactful. The cunning Meloch adds tension by giving your opponent a small boost every time you place a star, keeping the contest tight. Duel of Meloch is fully compatible with all existing Scythe factions, player mats, encounter cards, and factory cards, as well as with Expeditions’ mechs, characters, companions, and discovery cards—including items, meteorites, and half the quests. Components introduced in Duel of Meloch also integrate seamlessly with both games, including three new Factory cards and six new encounter cards plus a fresh set of 60 combat cards for Scythe, along with 30 new discovery cards for Expeditions covering items, quests, and meteorites.
