Dungeon Lords: Festival Season expands the original game by adding a fifth round to each year—winter, spring, summer, autumn, and the festival season. This extension allows more time to build your dungeon, but also gives adventurers greater opportunity to assemble larger parties. The expansion introduces new monsters, rooms, and traps, enhancing your dungeon’s defenses. Adventurers bring fresh challenges with new powerful spells and cunning bards who urge them to perform “heroic” deeds. Additionally, two paladins appear each year to punish the two most evil players. New strategic choices arise as you decide whether to push others toward evil rather than advancing your own good standing in the city, invest resources instead of digging for gold, or repair conquered tunnels and rooms rather than excavate new ones. Although only eight actions are available, each season swaps one out for alternate spaces offering intriguing new options. And to top it off, Dungeon Lords can now acquire personal pets, adding a charming twist to your dark dominion.
