Empires End ist ein Kennerspiel für 2–4 Personen. In diesem strategischen Brettspiel führst du eine große Zivilisation am Höhepunkt ihrer Macht und kämpfst gegen den drohenden Untergang. Das Spiel kombiniert umgekehrte Auktionen mit Engine-Building und bietet vielfältige taktische Wege zum Sieg.

You lead a powerful civilization striving to survive amid looming disasters. In Empires End, 2-4 players compete to prevent their empires from succumbing to calamity through strategic planning and clever resource management.

The game combines a unique reverse-bidding mechanic with engine-building and long-term strategy, creating a fast-paced experience full of tension and multiple paths to victory. Players begin with a thriving civilization and progress through various phases that evolve as the game unfolds.

During the Disaster phase, a common threat—such as famine, floods, or barbarian invasions—challenges all players. The player who loses the bidding must face the disaster, which damages one of their territories. However, with each disaster endured, empires gain wisdom and resilience, unlocking new abilities called innovations that help them adapt.

Inspired by the classic game No Thanks, resources bid by players accumulate with the one who takes the disaster card, rewarding risk and strategic bidding. In addition to disasters, other phases include Production (gathering resources), Industry (rebuilding), and Military (direct challenges), shaping the progression of each empire.

The game ends when players reach the finish of the progress track. Victory goes to the civilization with the most points, earned not only by intact territories but also through innovations and military achievements, offering diverse strategies to claim the win.
