Europa Universalis Scenarios III (Exp.) (engl.)

Description

The scenarios included in this booklet explore new and experimental ideas within the Europa Universalis: The Price of Power system. While they have not undergone the same extensive playtesting as usual, feedback from the EU:tPoP community since the earlier PDF and print-on-demand release has helped to refine them and correct errors. Some scenarios may still present minor imbalances, reflecting their experimental nature. These scenarios push the boundaries of the base game, offering fresh challenges and experiences. They were carefully selected to introduce unique elements and alternative perspectives on Europa Universalis gameplay. Old and New Pretenders is a low-conflict scenario for four players focusing on smaller realms. It provides a more relaxed learning environment without immediate large-scale threats or early conflicts among players. The Italian Job is a compact two-player scenario set in a confined geographic area. It can be played with or without Bots, depending on your preference, and lasts only three rounds, making it ideal for a single evening session. Same Sejm, But Different features three human players competing against a powerful Bot. Players can strategically influence the Bot to target their opponents, adding a layer of tactical manipulation. Turning the Table is a six-player alternative history scenario beginning in the latter half of Age I. It assumes a different outcome in the first half of the age, resulting in altered starting positions for each realm. The Sun God Awakens can be played solo or with up to four players and introduces the possibility of controlling a realm on a Distant Continent for the first time. This scenario lets you start as the Incas (beginning in Cusco) and includes scenario-specific rules and an Inca mission tree for thematic depth. Baltic Hegemony offers a solo or three-player experience centered on Sweden, Poland, and Muscovy/Russia battling for dominance around the Baltic Sea. In solo play, Sweden races against time to overcome rivals, while multiplayer focuses on controlling the Baltic shores. Turmoil in Western Europe is a tense and highly interactive six-player scenario set on the Western Europe map, where territorial expansion is tightly contested and growth inevitably infringes on neighbors' lands. The 30 Years' War is a fierce, interactive six-player scenario set during Age III, focusing on power struggles within and around the Holy Roman Empire. Over four rounds, players vie for control of key territories from different starting positions, with varied strengths and weaknesses defining their strategies.
