Description

Formaggio Retail Edition (engl.) is a strategy game for 1 to 4 players aged 14+ with a playing time of 30-45 minutes. Players become Italian cheesemakers crafting, aging, and selling artisanal cheeses. The game features simultaneous worker placement, rotating boards, and multiple new mini-games, offering varied paths to victory and the option to combine with the base game for endless replayability.

Step into the role of an Italian cheesemaker in the early 20th century, crafting, aging, and selling artisanal cheeses to become the most prestigious creamery in Italy. Formaggio is a standalone expansion to Fromage that can be played on its own or combined with the base game. Together, both games allow you to mix and match any four board quadrants and draft a variety of structure tiles, offering new strategies and increased replayability. In this simultaneous worker-placement game, players place Workers to produce cheese and collect resources from their current board quadrant. After all Workers are placed, the board rotates, aging cheese and presenting a new quadrant for players to use. Score Prestige Points by selling cheese across four unique locations and by managing and upgrading your creamery efficiently. Formaggio introduces four new board quadrants, each featuring distinct mini-games:

• Pair cheese with wines at the Vigneto.
• Sell cheese to restaurants along the Venetian canals, attracting customers.
• Distribute cheese throughout the Italian Regioni.
• Deposit cheese in the Banca, an Italian bank that accepts cheese as collateral for loans.

Additional new features include:

• Platinum-tier cheeses offering higher rewards.
• Seasonal rewards that provide strategic benefits throughout the game.
• All new abilities on Player Boards and Structure tiles for fresh gameplay options.
