Lead your tribe to the Gates of Mara, portals to realms of pure elemental energy. Encounter powerful Elemental Lords, expand your influence, and unleash vibrant magic. Compete for dominance in each realm to secure your tribal claims.

Designed by J.B. Howell, co-creator of Flotilla, Gates of Mara combines upgradeable worker placement with layered area control mechanics. Choose to lead one of four unique tribes: the reptilian Dragonkin, the amphibious Goblins, the insectoid Antids, or the arboreal Elves.

The richly detailed world of Mara is vividly brought to life by the stunning artwork of Nastya Lehn. The game features unique components, including tribe members represented by standees with distinctively shaped bases that determine their space claims.

Gameplay is varied with only two Elemental Lords in play each round and a variable central board layout, ensuring no two games are alike. Strategically position your tribe members around the Realms and Gates, enchant them to grant new abilities, and pursue short-term objectives while focusing on your overall influence. Only the player with the most influence claims the Gates of Mara.
