Gems of Iridescia is an accessible worker placement game where players compete to mine gems, restore ancient relics, and claim the throne of a gem-rich world. The straightforward rules allow players to dive in quickly without needing to sift through extensive rulebooks. During the game, players explore Iridescia by flipping land tiles to reveal hidden gems, then roll dice to mine them. Each gem color corresponds to a dice value that can be influenced, and rolling high lets players collect more gems. These gems can be stored as valuable resources for restoring relics and earning Royalty Points. Players can also sell gems to visit Rumi, the Travelling Merchant, and purchase tools that grant new abilities, helping them in their quest to uncover treasures. Restoring relics delivers substantial Royalty Points and strengthens a player’s claim to the throne. With secret objectives and multiple scoring paths, every game offers a unique and engaging adventure in the beautifully illustrated world of Iridescia, filled with hidden details and treasures to discover.
