Unite ancient China under your banner, suppress your rivals, and claim the Emperor’s throne. Set in the Warring States period (475–221 BC), HUANG challenges you to lead one of seven rival kingdoms—Qin, Chu, Qi, Yan, Han, Wei, or Zhao—as you build influence and vie for dominance. Each player commands five distinct leaders—Governor, Soldier, Farmer, Trader, and Artisan—whose strategic placement and the positioning of their associated tiles are crucial. By skillfully deploying your leaders, you construct pagodas to earn points, trigger or avoid conflicts, and incite peasant revolts to weaken your opponents. With dynamic gameplay lasting about 90 minutes, HUANG offers a fast-paced and engaging experience that combines tactical depth with elegant rules, making it accessible yet challenging for players seeking a rich historical strategy game.
