Kingdomino: The Lost Treasures is a mini-expansion that introduces mysterious gemstone-filled chests to the kingdom-building gameplay of Kingdomino. As you place domino tiles to grow your realm, you may discover hidden treasures—gems that add extra crowns but can also carry unexpected risks. After setting up the base game, place the Treasure tokens nearby and reveal two gems. When a player forms a square of four different adjacent landscape types with their dominoes, they uncover a treasure. They then select one of the visible gems and place it at the intersection of those four landscapes, orienting it as they choose. Each gem contributes crowns to the connected territories during final scoring. However, some gems bear skull symbols that cause the pointed territory to score zero points regardless of its size or crowns. Gems cannot be moved or rotated once placed. The game ends after all dominoes have been played. Territories score by multiplying the number of connected squares by the total crowns, including those granted by gems. The highest total wins. Alternatively, a player collecting five different types of gems in their kingdom immediately wins, with the Joker gem able to represent any type, making this sudden victory more achievable though it grants only one crown.
