Lawyer Up Season 2 (Exp.) ist ein Kennerspiel. Diese Erweiterung enthält neue Fälle wie Private Eye, Divorce Case und Casino Heist sowie einen Solo-Modus. Sie bietet zusätzliche Karten und Token, um das Spiel eigenständig oder in Kombination mit Season 1 zu spielen, und erweitert die taktischen Möglichkeiten durch vielfältige Decks und Spielvarianten.

The Season 2 box includes all new content from the Gamefound campaign: the Private Eye Case, Divorce Case, Casino Heist, and Solo Mode. Unlike Season 1, these expansions will not be printed separately. It also contains extra prosecution and defense decks along with additional tokens, making this edition fully standalone and playable without the Season 1 box. Owners of both boxes will have enough base decks to explore the 2v2 variant as well.

Casino Heist:
A team of thieves has targeted the Majestic Casino, but while the suspects were quickly apprehended, proving their guilt in court is far more challenging. The defendants appear confident, but is that just a bluff as their scheme unravels, or do they have a final ace to play? Here, the prosecution aims to convict the majority of the gang, while the defense strives to exonerate as many as possible. Defendants are dealt double-sided Con cards, and players compete to assign and flip these cards to their advantage. A defendant’s trial scores once they receive their third Con card. Successfully dealing this final Con to winning defendants is crucial. Victory goes to the player who convicts or exonerates the most defendants.

The Divorce:
This expansion centers on a high-profile divorce between a billionaire tech CEO and a ‘90s television star. Each player assumes the role of one partner—Sam, the CEO, or Adrian, the celebrity—with dual-sided cards allowing for male, female, or mixed marriages. A key new mechanic is secret Attitude cards representing each partner’s emotional state, aligned with bias symbols granting extra victory points for related marital assets. Instead of jury influence, players compete for marital asset cards, which can be swayed by spending influence on asymmetric tracks. Assets have victory point values for the controlling player but may also be shared, enabling both competitive and cooperative play. Will you compromise for the children’s sake or fight for the biggest financial win?

The Private Eye:
Set in a 1950s Hollywood noir environment, the defense takes on the role of a private investigator framed for a film star’s murder. Balancing court defense and clue investigation, the Private Eye must uncover the murderer, weapon, and crime scene by revealing clue cards that eliminate possibilities—similar to the game Clue. Investigating uses evidence cards’ investigation effects instead of courtroom influence, creating a strategic trade-off. The prosecution, representing a conspiracy, uses planted evidence and gains Red Herring tokens to impede the investigation. The Private Eye wins by correctly identifying the crime details, but cannot ignore a challenging trial.

Solo Expansion:
This expansion enriches the solo mode by introducing a new solo base deck, a bias die, Automa personality cards, and case-specific card effects compatible with all released cases. The solo deck integrates with case cards to create a challenging Automa opponent featuring unique traps and procedures. Players can customize the Automa by choosing Personality, Discovery, and Questioning cards to build varied AI behaviors. The new rules reduce die rolling and present puzzle-like challenges as players navigate around Automa abilities and sidebar effects.
