Lost Ruins of Arnak Twisted Paths (Exp.) (engl.) Lost Ruins of Arnak Twisted Paths expands the base game with a new double-sided map featuring two unique research tracks and new components. Players can explore the Owl Temple by day or the Spider Temple by night, each offering distinct challenges and rewards. The expansion also adds new guardians, sites, assistants, and solo content including Rival tiles and mini expansions.

Twisted Paths is the ultimate expansion for the world of Arnak, introducing a large double-sided map that surpasses the original in size and complexity. It features two distinct research tracks, each offering unique mechanics and components. On the daytime side, players can explore the white stone of the Owl Temple. Here, new temple tiles combine to create extra idol slots, while a third research token—a lantern—provides even more powerful research rewards. Alternatively, players can venture into the night to navigate the dark caverns of the Spider Temple. This side introduces a new resource called dark tablets, which enable the activation of mysterious altars and the direct placement of artifacts onto the research track for use during ascent. However, using dark tablets carries risks: while they offer strong benefits, overambition may lead to point penalties. Beyond the new maps, Twisted Paths includes additional guardians, sites, and assistants. It also offers solo content with Rival tiles for the new maps, as well as Purple Rival tiles and Rival Objectives—two mini-expansions previously available as print-and-play online. Originally, Lost Ruins of Arnak: Twisted Paths was part of the Adventure Chest, a limited-edition storage box featuring a custom insert designed by CGE.
