Beschreibung

Men-Nefer (engl.) is a strategy game for 1 to 4 players aged 14+ with a playing time of 60 to 120 minutes. Experience ancient Egypt by acquiring knowledge, trading on the Nile, making offerings, embalming nobles, and contributing to pyramid construction while seeking passage to the afterlife granted by Osiris.

Founded around 3100 BC and located south of the Nile Delta, the city of Men-Nefer (known as Memphis in Greek) served as the capital of ancient Egypt for nine dynasties and was the most populous city in the world at that time. Recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1979, it is renowned for its extensive necropolises and pyramid complexes, including Abusir, Saqqara, Dahshur, and Giza. In Men-Nefer, players immerse themselves in one of ancient Egypt’s most remarkable eras, undertaking activities integral to Egyptian culture. These include gaining knowledge in the Houses of Life, navigating and trading along the Nile, making offerings at the Great Temple of Ptah, embalming noble corpses to ensure their journey to the afterlife, erecting magnificent sphinxes, and contributing to the construction of the Great Pyramids. Throughout the game, careful planning is essential to secure Osiris’s favor and gain passage to Aaru, the sacred paradise of the afterlife.
