25th Century Games (2023)Motor City is a strategic roll-and-write game set in the heyday of Detroit’s auto industry. Each player manages an auto plant using two player sheets divided into multiple interconnected tracks. Progress on these tracks grants bonuses and unlocks new scoring opportunities, making every decision impactful. The game unfolds over eight rounds. In each round, players roll colored dice according to the number of participants and place them on designated spaces on the blueprint table based on their color and value. Players then draft dice to mark progress on their sheets, repeating the draft twice before all players use the remaining dice. Points are scored after eight rounds for achievements in areas like engineering, assembly, and testing. The player with the highest score wins. Motor City also includes a solo mode where you compete against an auditor who drafts dice and blocks areas on your sheet. The challenge can be easily adjusted by selecting different dice colors during setup, without adding extra rules.
