Obsession Board Game: 2nd Edition (engl.) is a strategy game for 1 to 4 players aged 14+ with a playing time of 30 to 90 minutes. Set in mid-19th century England, players restore a country estate, host social events, and build their family's reputation through strategic decisions and renovations. Experience the charm of Regency and Victorian society as you navigate gossip, wealth, and influence.

England, mid-19th century. You take on the role of the head of a country house in decline—many rooms have been closed to reduce upkeep and heating costs, the grounds are unkempt, and the façade needs urgent restoration. Your family, including two eligible children—a charming heir and a refined young lady—are beginning to reestablish their place in high society, improving prospects for advantageous marriages. Protect your family's honor against gossip and envy, accumulate wealth, uncover unsavory guests taking advantage of your hospitality, and expand your household staff with maids, valets, and footmen to manage elegant social events. Caring for your service staff is just as important! Hosting prestigious gatherings in your newly restored manor becomes the key to forging influential connections and earning favors that can lead to victory. Only by making thoughtful choices and strategic decisions to develop your estate can you invite the most distinguished guests in Derbyshire. Picture the Earl of Kellynch and Lady Mary Russell taking the family’s newest horse for a ride, spreading word of the Ponsonby family’s return to prominence. Obsession immerses players in the Regency, Victorian, and Edwardian eras—the cherished world of Jane Austen, Anthony Trollope, and Downton Abbey—transporting families and friends to a distinctive time and place. Your country estate is represented by game tiles depicting renovated rooms and outdoor spaces, which enable your family to host social activities like fox hunts, music recitals, formal dinners, and grand balls. These events enhance your family’s reputation in the county and unlock special abilities that support your rise in society.
