dlp-games (2019)Orléans Stories (engl.) is a strategy game for 2 to 4 players aged 12+ with a playing time of 60 to 180 minutes. Based on the bag-building mechanism from Orléans, it offers a storytelling experience through different eras and challenges, featuring two stories where players choose strategies or cooperate to complete tasks within time limits.
Orléans Stories builds on the innovative bag-building mechanism of Orléans and transforms it into a rich storytelling adventure. Players travel through different eras, each presenting unique challenges and changing rules that shape the gameplay.
The game features two distinct narratives: The First Kingdom and The King's Favor. In The First Kingdom, players have the freedom to choose their strategies and decide how to navigate through the eras. In contrast, The King's Favor requires players to cooperate and complete specific tasks within each era’s timeframe, adding tension as failure to do so can lead to elimination.
This evolving experience combines strategic planning with immersive storytelling, offering a captivating journey through history’s shifting landscapes.
