Beschreibung

Pillars of Heracles (engl.) is a strategy game for 1 to 4 players aged 14+ with a playing time of 90-120 minutes. Immerse yourself in ancient Greece as you build and manage your city-state, using area control, deckbuilding, and resource management. Encounter historical and mythological figures while competing for dominance in a richly detailed strategic experience.

Embark on an epic journey through Archaic Period Greece, where heroes rise, city-states vie for power, and the gods influence mortal destinies. In Pillars of Heracles, you take on the role of a leader tasked with building and shaping your own city-state, competing against rivals, and navigating the complexities of ancient Greek society.

The game combines area control, rondel mechanics, deckbuilding, tableau building, set collection, and resource management into a rich strategic experience. You will expand your city-state, carefully plan your actions on the rondel, and customize your deck to prepare for the challenges ahead.

Will you draw on the wisdom of the Olympian gods to guide your city to greatness, or rely on shrewd tactics and military strength to overcome your enemies? Encounter legendary figures from Greek history and mythology, engage in trade and diplomacy, and face the opportunities and risks of city-building.

Every decision shapes your city-state’s fate and your path toward victory. The game’s cultural and historical accuracy has been reviewed by historian Jan Heinemann, an expert on Archaic and Classical Greece.
