Planet Unknown Supermoon (Exp.) (engl.)

Description

Planet Unknown Supermoon (Exp.) (engl.) Planet Unknown Supermoon expands the base game with new strategic options including a 3D satellite mini for meteorite cleanup, salvage tiles, and a new planet and corporation. It extends gameplay by about 15 minutes, adding complexity and fresh challenges for 1 to 6 players aged 10 and up.

Meteor strikes have caused significant damage, leaving you to carefully manage the salvaged wreckage. Your goal is to complete the primary objective and build a planet that ensures humanity’s survival. When meteorite threats intensify, you can expand your developments onto the newly introduced Supermoon. Planet Unknown is a polyomino tile-laying game blending tile placement, engine building, simultaneous play, and resource and rover management to create a unique competitive experience. Supermoon is the first expansion, adding new layers of strategy and interaction. A key new element is the choice to place tiles either on your planet or on your Supermoon. The moon features a 3D satellite mini that offers a distinct way to clear meteorites. You may also deploy rovers to your moon, making tile selection, placement, and meteorite cleanup even more crucial. This expansion extends the gameplay by roughly five additional simultaneous turns, increasing playing time from approximately 65 to 80 minutes. This extra time allows fresh strategies to develop and challenges players to rethink their winning tactics. Each player gains access to salvage tiles—split polyomino pieces recovered from recent meteor showers, each containing one resource and one meteorite. Instead of drafting from the S.U.S.A.N., you may place two salvage tiles per turn, either together or separately. Finally, a new planet and corporation emerge from the wreckage, offering additional asymmetric combinations and fresh gameplay possibilities within Planet Unknown.
