QE (engl.)

Beschreibung

QE (engl.) is a strategy game for 3 to 5 players aged 12+ with a playing time of 45 minutes. Players act as central banks bidding to bail out major companies while managing the risk of printing too much money. Victory points are earned through strategic bidding and company sets, but printing the most money results in losing all points.

A financial crisis has hit, and sixteen “too big to fail” companies across four countries require urgent bailouts. As a central bank, you have unlimited funds to print, but caution is key—printing too much money risks causing your country to collapse.

In Q.E. (quantitative easing), players bid on companies of varying sizes to collect victory points. The initial bid is made openly by the lead player, while subsequent bids are secret. After all sixteen companies have been bailed out, bonus points are awarded for sets reflecting nationalization, monopolization, and diversification.

Player markers on the scoring track show who leads, but the game’s tension continues: players must tally the total money they’ve printed, and the one who printed the most loses all their victory points.

This edition of Q.E. supports up to five players straight out of the box, building on previous versions that capped at four players with an optional expansion for a fifth.
