Saladin (engl.)

Description

Saladin is the first installment in the "En Ordre de Bataille" series, each volume focusing on a legendary medieval leader and two significant battles in which they played a key role. This game recreates the famous battles of Hattin and Arsuf, where Saladin faced the Crusader forces led by Guy de Lusignan and later Richard the Lionheart. Players take command of one of the armies and strategically deploy their horsemen to harass enemy ranks or lead crushing charges with heavily armored knights. In this historical wargame for two players, each round involves ordering one of your Banners to engage the opponent's forces. The use of Order tokens is crucial, as they allow you to coordinate your troops but decrease in number each turn. Victory goes to the player who maintains the cohesion of their army and carefully manages their precious Order tokens. Saladin offers an immersive blend of history and strategy for fans eager to relive these epic medieval confrontations. Will you lead your army to triumph?
