Shadows of Brimstone: Perilous Expeditions Campaign (Exp.) (engl.)

Beschreibung

The Perilous Expeditions Campaign adds a rich new Narrative Campaign mode to Shadows of Brimstone, guiding players through fresh challenges and storylines. Central to this expansion is the Narrative Campaign Book, which contains all the rules, campaign objectives, story threads, enemy lists, and expedition hazard charts for both land and sea, covering the Norse Coast and the Jungle Island Chain. The book also introduces 8 new missions designed for use with the Expedition Ship Board, the Wilderness Encounter Board, and unique campaign story missions. Throughout the campaign, heroes gather Gold and Dark Stone during missions to upgrade their Expedition Camp and Ship, unlocking new options and powerful bonuses as the encroaching Darkness grows stronger. Players explore the Campaign Map to reveal adventure locations, journey to OtherWorlds and back, and hunt down campaign clues that progress the story. Ultimately, survival depends on overcoming the dangers thrown at you and confronting the ultimate threat unleashed by the Darkness. The expansion includes several double-sided tactical boards. The Expedition Ship Board features a Viking Long Ship on one side and a Spanish Tall Ship on the other, allowing players to fend off enemies attacking at sea by moving around the ship’s deck to protect key areas and crew. The Wilderness Encounter Board depicts a snowy forest on one side and jungle pathways on the reverse, serving as the battlefield for land-based battles or defending the Expedition Camp from attack. The Campaign Map Board, with a Norse Coast on one side and a Jungle Island Chain on the other, is used for campaign rounds between missions, directing travel and exploration. New enemy types raise the stakes: Deep Stalkers are fish-like creatures that board ships to kidnap crew members, while Leviathan Tentacles emerge from the deep to attack heroes at sea or near coastlines. Included are custom Expedition Dice marked with icons for Marching, Sailing, and Navigation, which determine movement options on the Campaign Map and influence certain expedition hazards and camp events. All necessary cards, counters, and rules for campaign play come with the set, including camp and ship upgrades, plot twists, campaign objectives, enemy lists, and hazard charts. The Perilous Expeditions Campaign offers a dynamic and evolving narrative experience expanding the world of Shadows of Brimstone.
