The New Frontier offers several expansions for Space Alert, each adding new layers of challenge and variety. Use them individually or combine them to create fresh gameplay experiences. New Threats introduce enemies with unique abilities, such as phasing in and out of reality, shielding behind mega barriers, or attacking your crew with powerful plasma weapons. Red Threats increase the danger level with colossal ships, cunning intruders, and a range of devious tactics designed to test your crew’s skills. Double Actions allow you to perform two actions per turn, adding complexity and strategy—essential for tackling missions on the new CD. Specializations grant your crew new heroic capabilities, like launching two rockets simultaneously, keeping injured crewmates conscious, or repairing ship damage during flight. The Experience System lets you track your space exploration career by recording your achievements and unlocking new skills as you progress.
