SSO: Rage of Montalbano (Exp.) (engl.)

Beschreibung

SSO: Rage of Montalbano (Exp.)

The Rage of Montalbano Deluxe Expansion, successfully funded on Kickstarter in October 2020, enhances the SSO experience with upgraded components and expanded gameplay. Wooden meeples replace the previous crew counters, plastic voting tokens and dials track oxygen and morale, and all components are housed in a spacious box designed to hold your entire SSO collection neatly organized with section dividers. This expansion broadens the scope of the ship by introducing new crew members and locations, while the Rage of Montalbano Challenge Deck adds an exciting new storyline to the SSO universe. The core rulebook has also been extensively revised and expanded based on player feedback, featuring detailed examples, diagrams, and explanations to clarify every aspect of gameplay. Montalbano, once top of his academy class and a leading candidate for captain of the Omega—the most prestigious command in history—was rejected due to psychological issues. Viewing this as a fatal error for humanity, he took control of the Omega’s sister ship, weaponized it, and aims to seize the Omega by force. Ruthless, brilliant, and narcissistic, Montalbano represents the gravest threat the Omega has faced so far. The new Permanent cards in the Rage of Montalbano Challenge Deck represent locations forming Montalbano’s ship as it reveals itself to attack the Omega. The crew must work desperately to repair the damage, but if unchecked, the assault will overwhelm the once defenseless Omega. While the Omega lacks torpedo bays or laser banks, the addition of the Shuttle Array location and the Space Walk Specialist crew member enables movement to otherwise inaccessible parts of the ship. Prepare for intense boarding actions—Montalbano is coming.
