Stress Botics - Odyssey (Exp.) (engl.) This expansion enhances the base game by adding a detailed main room board, challenging Cylindroid Elite enemies, and new Alpha Bot control mechanics. It introduces a solo mode with Delta Bot and adds boxed items and modular boards for varied gameplay. Base game required to play.

Stress Botics Odyssey expands the core game experience along five distinct axes, while retaining the fundamental rules and pacing of the original game. This expansion requires the base game to play. The first enhancement focuses on the main room, where Alpha Bot currently resides. Odyssey introduces an alternate board that zooms in on this area, requiring players to carefully consider their positioning to fend off Cylindroids and protect Alpha Bot. If Alpha Bot fails to reach the surface, delivering items to ships becomes significantly more challenging. The second enhancement centers on the Cylindroids. After players defeat a full wave of enemies, a powerful Cylindroid Elite emerges. This formidable foe serves as Alpha Bot’s nemesis, featuring its own AI and complex behavior patterns. The third enhancement involves Alpha Bot itself. Beta Bots can now enter Alpha Bot through a new action, gaining control over its AI. Inside, players can accelerate Alpha Bot’s actions, alter its direction to crush enemies or avoid obstacles, repair shields, gather resources, and equip objects, among other tasks. However, controlling Alpha Bot carries risks: if it takes damage under player control, it activates a volatile secondary AI, which may lead to aggressive behaviors such as revisiting cleared sections or attacking nearby robots indiscriminately. The fourth enhancement introduces a Solo Mode featuring Delta Bot, a small robot companion that assists players in completing objectives alone. Odyssey provides an additional board to attach to the player’s blueprint, expanding management aspects during maintenance phases and requiring attention to Delta Bot’s stress level. If Delta Bot accumulates too much stress, it will explode, increasing the challenge for solo players. The fifth enhancement adds new content, including more items to existing sets and a new category called boxed items. These can be dynamically equipped from the main room for immediate use, bringing an element of improvisation to combat and overall strategy. Odyssey also offers modular boards that enhance the detail of various mechanics and incorporate unique features depending on player count.
