Take a Seat (engl.)

Beschreibung

It’s premiere day, where the best musicals in town compete to fill theaters for weeks on end. To make your premiere the most successful, you need to attract the audience and seat them in the best possible locations. This won’t be easy, as word has spread and the most important celebrities, authorities, and press won’t want to miss this glamorous event. Will you find the best seats? Now, if you’ll excuse me, the show must go on!

Take a Seat introduces an innovative “Share & Write” mechanic where randomness comes from player interaction rather than dice or cards. Each turn, players receive a reservation panel and must choose between using the usher’s ability or taking direct points. Then they mark a reservation on the board to their right or left (depending on the turn) by scratching any of the four tickets on their reservation panel. Finally, they assign seats in the theater by outlining and marking circles corresponding to the selected tickets.

The game lasts 14 turns, after which players proceed to final scoring. Points are earned in three areas: from objective cards, reservation majorities, and usher bonuses. Adding all points together, the player with the highest total score wins the game.
