The Cousins War (engl.)

Beschreibung

The Wars of the Roses were a series of conflicts between the Houses of York and Lancaster during the 15th century in England. As both houses were branches of the royal family, the conflict was originally called "The Cousins' War." In this game, each player takes on the role of one house, battling for control of England through strategic deployment of troops and influence. The game unfolds over up to five rounds, each representing five to ten years of the conflict. During each round, players work to expand their influence across the regions of England while preparing for a decisive battle. Players choose the battlefield location, play action cards to move troops, and adjust influence in various regions. Battles are resolved through bluffing and dice rolling until only one side remains on the field. Winning these battles strengthens a player’s hold on the map. Victory is achieved by either dominating all regions of England or controlling the most regions after the fifth round.
