The Guest (engl.)

Beschreibung

The Guest (engl.) is a childrens game for 5 to 12 players aged 8+ with a playing time of 30-45 minutes. Players take on hidden roles as crew members of the Beagle, some infected by a parasite controlling minds. Tension rises with each vote as teams try to eliminate opponents while uncovering who is infected, with a possible third faction emerging if sanity is lost.

The commander is dead, cast into the cold and unforgiving void, and it was I who voted against her, sealing her fate. Now, uncertainty torments me. The ship's doctor claims that the host was not aboard; the threat remains hidden among us. Communications have been cut off ever since we left the planetoid, and I know that at least one crew member harbors the abominations that infiltrate the brain and control the will...

Five days after the last vote, we remain isolated, hurtling through the void at dizzying speed, living day by day on our way to the Aurora space station. Time is running out and return is impossible. The new commander has called for another vote, and the engineer's eyes glow with a disturbing suspicion — or maybe I am losing my mind. In any case, I think I’ll vote for her...

In The Guest, players take on the roles of the crew aboard the extrasolar ship Beagle, which is infiltrated by a mysterious parasite that takes control of its victims’ minds. This hidden role game builds real tension with every vote. Some players are infected crew members intent on spreading the parasite or eliminating the others, while the rest are healthy crew members trying to reach the Aurora space station safely.

The objective for each team is to eliminate all members of the opposing side, but no one knows who among them has been infected. Be careful—there is a chance that a third force might emerge if someone's mind begins to unravel.
