The Search for Planet X (engl.)

Beschreibung

At the distant edge of our solar system, astronomers suspect a hidden planet that could explain the unusual orbits of dwarf planets and other celestial bodies. In The Search for Planet X, players assume the roles of astronomers using logical deduction and observations to locate this mysterious world. The game is supported by a companion app that randomly arranges objects and sets the location of Planet X according to specific rules each session. As Earth orbits the sun, players use the app to perform scans and attend conferences, gathering clues that they record on their deduction sheets. By gradually learning where various objects are located, players develop and publish theories to earn points. As more information is uncovered, possible locations for Planet X become increasingly limited. When a player believes they have pinpointed the planet’s position and its neighboring objects, they use the app to conduct a final search. The Search for Planet X combines the excitement of astronomical discovery with strategic deduction and competitive play. The game ends when one player successfully locates Planet X, followed by a last round of scoring for all players.
